Terms of Service
Effective Date: 01/01/2026
Welcome to Kovenant K9. By accessing this website or engaging in our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services and Consultations
The Chaos Audit: Submission of an application (Chaos Audit) does not guarantee acceptance into a Kovenant K9 program. We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog or owner that we deem a mismatch for our training framework.
Results: While Kovenant K9 uses proven methodologies, dog training is a collaborative process. Final results depend on the owner’s commitment to the stewardship model and daily consistency. No "guarantees" are made for the permanent behavior of a living animal without continued owner maintenance.
2. Payment and Refunds
Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot for all Kovenant K9 programs.
Final Payment: All balances must be paid in full prior to the start of training or the return of the dog.
Refund Policy: Due to the nature of our professional services and the allocation of time and resources, all fees are non-refundable once training has commenced.
3. Liability and Safety
Inherent Risk: You acknowledge that working with dogs involves an inherent risk of injury. By engaging with Kovenant K9, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the business and its staff from any claims, damages, or injuries caused by your dog to itself, other animals, people, or property.
Health and Vaccinations: All dogs entering our facility or attending sessions must be up to date on vaccinations as required by local law.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and training frameworks (e.g., The Kovenant Standard™), is the property of Kovenant K9 and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our materials without express written consent.
5. Product Sales (Store)
Handmade Gear: Our gear is built to high standards. However, the handler is responsible for inspecting gear before each use. Kovenant K9 is not liable for accidents resulting from gear wear-and-tear or improper use.
Apparel: All apparel is printed-on-demand. Returns are only accepted for manufacturing defects.
6. Client Conduct
The Kovenant Standard is built on mutual respect and discipline. We reserve the right to terminate the training relationship at any time if a client is found to be abusive toward their dog, our staff, or if they fail to uphold the basic requirements of the training plan.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be handled in the courts of McHenry County.
